Search Engine Optimisation / Search Engine Marketing
"Find more customers by allowing them to find you"

You may have a website already or are thinking about creating one to help market your business or sell products and services online. To maximise the return on investment (ROI) it is essential to allow potential customers to "find" you via the most popular search engines, namely Google and Yahoo. Approx. 75% of all searches on the net are performed by these 2 search sites.

There are 2 strategies available. Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and Search Engine Marketing (SEM). SEO involves making your website "search engine friendly" that will help you to rank higher in the "free" search section. SEM allows you to pay to rank in the "sponsored links" section of the Google search results page using preselected "Adwords".

Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)

Crimson Consulting will take you through the process of Search Engine Optimisation with the aim of creating a web site that will be the No.1 answer to the most relevant searches for your business products and/or services. This is done by following the process below:-

1.Understand what your business is, what are the characteristics of the marketplace, where your customers will be located and who the competition is. This is not an exhaustive list but illustrates well the initial steps.

2. Generate a list of the most relevant keywords your customers are expected to use to find the products and services that you provide.

3. Ensure that your website has content that reflects the keywords agreed on in step 2.

4. Help you to have the required changes made to your website and that the search engines are referencing all the pages.

5. Review the results by repeating searches on the search engines. If the changes do not produce the required results go back to step 2. and tweek the selected keywords.

Search engine Marketing (SEM)

Crimson Consulting will help you manage your Google Adwords account by selecting appropriate keywords, implementing them in specific campaigns and reviewing the results.

1. Understand the business in a similar fashion to step 1. under SEO above.

2. Agree on the desired outcome of the Adwords campaign. Is it generally to promote the business or a specific product or service.

3. Decide on the number of campaigns that would give the desired results and the specific Adwords that will be used. Each campaign can be tailored in terms of budget, schedules, geography etc.

4. Create an Adwords account for you (if you do not already have one) and implement the campaigns agreed in step 3.

5. Monitor the results of the campaigns and associated keywords to ensure the desired outcome in step 2 is being achieved within budget.

6. If the results are not being achieved go back to step 3 and review the Adwords being used or campaign setup.
